Faber Castell - Big Brush Pitt Pens

Graphic artists, Manga artists, cartoonists, illustrators and anyone involved in the design industry would be advised to check out the Pitt Big Brush Pen. The first thing I noticed about this marker was it's thick and chunky size. It looks a little bit like a kids jumbo marker. But, that's the only comparison that can be made with a kids marker. Everything else about these pens is professional quality. The reason for the fat size is, simply, ink capacity. The Big Brush Pen holds 4 times the ink that a normal Pitt Pen does. Even if you don't colour large areas in one sitting the Big Brush Pen is a more economical way to buy your pigment inks.
Let's talk about the inks. The inks are the same high-quality as the smaller Pitt Pens. They are pigmented, Indian Inks that are light-fast, acid-free and bleed-resistant. This high quality permanency makes them suitable for any professional application. The inks come in 48 strong colours that pretty much cover the whole spectrum.
The nibs on the Big Brush Pens are an excellent shape for illustrators. The point comes down to a super-fine, pin-size that is perfect for any detail work. The nib is long too. It is much longer than the typical bullet-tip marker. This gives a nice, wide line with any side sweeping motion. Sketching with these pens is just plain fun. These nibs coupled with the strong colours really gets the creative juices flowing.
Have a go.

The Big Brush Pitt Pen

The quality, long nibs come down to a really fine, sharp nib that's great for detail, and the length allows for wide sweeping strokes.
